Availability: SWF Maestro EXE (EXE PRO), SWF Maestro SCR (SCR PRO)
According to statistics published by Adobe, Flash Player is currently
installed on many up-to-date computers. But if the user has no Flash
Player installed, your application will offer the user to install it.
There are three ways to install it:
- download Flash Player from the Adobe site
- install right from the application
- install from the application's directory
Min. version required
Specify the minimum version of Flash Player required by your SWFs.
Download
Flash Player from the site
In the first case, the distribution package of the Adobe Flash Player
ActiveX will be downloaded. It is recommended to select this option
if you plan to distribute the product on the Internet. Install right from the application / Install
from the application's directory
In these cases, your application will install the player automatically.
It is recommended to select these options if you plan to distribute the
product on compact disks.
Note: For the application to be able to install the player automatically,
you should attach a special distribution package from Adobe. You can
get a license for distributing the package as well as the package absolutely
free of charge at http://www.adobe.com/licensing/distribution/.
Fill out the questionnaire and download the Flash Player OCX distribution
package (version: EXE Installer for Windows - Internet Explorer).
Use the 'Distribution package' field to specify the full path to the
downloaded distribution package of the player. It will be included into
the compiled application. Or use the 'Installer filename' field to specify
the filepath of the installer file relative to the compiled application's
file (for example: 'flash.exe' or 'flash\installer.exe'). In this case
the file of the distribution package should be distributed together with
the compiled application's file. |
